I’m Trying Something New

I’m going to try something new here.  The way I see it, I have two problems that I’d like to solve.  First, I’m not writing on the blog as much as I would like to.  Second, it’s hard for me to make the time to do so.

The main problem is that it generally takes me a long time to put up a post.  From writing to proofreading to hitting publish, it’s commonly upwards of 4-5 hours.  Not a long time if writing and content creation was my primary occupation, but I get paid to work with people and help solve problems.

Therefore, this tends to be “back burner” type of stuff.  Yet at the same time, I do enjoy doing it!

Another obstacle is the fact that I’m a planner.  I plan training programs, diet, health, and overall wellness plans, just to name a few.  And then, I plan the next action steps for all of these…over and over again.

I haven’t even gotten to my stuff yet!  Even with my writing, I try to have nice thought-out logical progressions from post to post.  I finally realized that doesn’t work for me, and at times, it prevents me from doing anything.

Sometimes the whole “planning” thing just takes too long.  Honestly, I come up with stuff I’d like to say all of the time through different conversations that I have, but then the planning gets in the way.

So today I’m going to start throwing stuff out there that might appear fairly random.  I  might jump from topic to topic and they might not have anything to do with one another.  I’m not exactly sure where it’s going to go but I’m done overthinking it.  Some posts might be short, and some of them long.  All I know is, there is a ton that can be said regarding the sphere of fitness and wellness and I’d like to do it more often.

Thank you for letting me have that moment, and now on with the show…
